Thanks to our City's legal community, Baltimore's underserved, disadvantaged public school students have the hope of obtaining a college education. Through our dedicated supporters and volunteers, the Annual Lawyers' Campaign for CollegeBound (running September through December) raises crucial funds for the Foundation. In 2009, we celebrate 17 years of support from the legal community.
Last academic year, 154 college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors received CollegeBound cash awards totaling $319,350. Clearly, the Annual Lawyers' Campaign for CollegeBound Foundation is critical to the success of our program. It goes a long way toward sending deserving Baltimore City public school students to college… and beyond.
The 17th Annual Lawyers' Campaign for CollegeBound Foundation kicks off on September 15, 2009 and concludes on December 31, 2009. We are delighted that Professor Susan Leviton, University of Maryland School of Law, and Professor Byron L. Warnken, University of Baltimore School of Law, have agreed to be our Honorary Co-Chairs for this Campaign. We thank them for their generous spirit.
